The rowing club’s logbook, online on your phones.

One phone to log the departure, another to record the return. The same logbook everywhere at the club, with no computer in the boathouse.

Free to sign up · No commitment

How it works

  1. Open the logbook

Join the club with its code or QR code, from your phone’s browser.

  2. Log the departure

Select the boat and the crew, then give the direction. Add a record if needed, right while you fill in the form.

  3. Record the return

Close the outing from any phone connected to the club’s logbook.

Simple to use.
Good-quality data.

A good logbook is easy to fill in and stays clear over the weeks. Cloud guides the entry and organises the information so that everyone finds what they need.

Cloud or Desktop?

Cloud shares the club’s logbook between several phones connected to the Internet. Desktop is used on the club’s computer. The two applications work independently, with no synchronisation between them.

Questions before you start.

What is Rowing Beacon Cloud?

Rowing Beacon Cloud is an online rowing logbook shared between the club’s phones. It lets you log departures and returns from a browser, with no computer in the boathouse.

Does every rower have to create an account?

No. Rowers open the logbook with the club’s code or QR code. One phone can serve several crews. Only managers have individual accounts; a rower record is not a user account.

Do I need to prepare the list of boats and rowers?

No. You can add them while logging an outing. Search finds existing records, which keeps entry quick and the catalogue consistent.

Does Cloud work without Internet?

An Internet connection is needed to share the same logbook between phones. Cloud has no offline mode and no synchronisation with Desktop.

Who can see the crews and routes?

Managers approve which accesses can see the crews and directions of all outings. An access that has not been approved can log a departure or a return and see the boats out on the water. It only sees crews and directions for outings created from that access.

How do I join Cloud and find out the price?

Put your club on the waiting list to hear when access opens. The terms and the price are given to you before any commitment. Joining the list is free and carries no obligation to buy.

Is Cloud open to clubs outside France?

Cloud is aimed first at French clubs. A club in another country can join the waiting list to be kept informed, but no date or availability abroad is promised for now. RowingBeacon Desktop, by contrast, is available in all the languages of this site.

Does the logbook replace supervision of outings?

No. The logbook gathers the departures and returns that the club declares; it does not guarantee that anyone is actually on the water. It offers no GPS tracking, no automatic overdue alerts and no automated rescue.
